Tanner is a commercial litigator and business lawyer. He has tried jury and bench trials and has represented clients in both state and federal courts and arbitration forums. Tanner’s litigation experience is wide-ranging and includes breach of contract cases, payment disputes, real estate litigation, personal injury and insurance litigation, and product liability matters. In his business counsel practice, Tanner has assisted clients in beginning and restructuring businesses. He frequently reviews and negotiates various contracts, advises on the legal implications of daily business operations, and recently assisted a client with the sale and disposition of a seven-figure commercial property.

A 7th-generation Tennessean and Nashville native, Tanner practiced at the boutique litigation firm of Kay Griffin, PLLC prior to its closing. Tanner now joins Griffin Bowen as a founding member with the goal of providing an exceptional and refined legal experience for his clients.

Tanner lives in Brentwood with his wife, Catherine, and their red Australian Labradoodle, Fisher. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
